Nestlé Nigeria is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Security Officer, who will be responsible for assisting the security manager in the coordination of site security operations, as well as managing, training, and evaluating the performance of all security personnel. Act as an assistant and deputy to the Factory Security Manager in order to meet the security department’s goals and ensure the factory’s commercial activities are secure.
A Day in the Life of a Security Officer
- Coordinate the security personnel effectively across shifts to ensure and offer a crime-free environment.
- Ensure that all activities are fully documented in writing in the various security logbooks for clarity and easy reference.
- Conduct general beat patrols, surveillance, and investigations both within and outside the factory.
- Drive the patrol vehicle on necessary occasions and in emergencies.
- Support and enhance the skills matrix of team members.
- Ensure that NCE is implemented by the entire team.
- Implement a clocking patrol and general patrol strategy to maintain monitoring and surveillance in order to prevent and detect security breaches and anomalous conditions both inside and outside the factory.
- Distribute critical information and assist the plant security manager in gathering materials and information for the investigation of security occurrences.
- Assist the Factory Security Manager with any specific duties that may be assigned.
What Will Make You Successful?
- B.Sc. / HND in related courses or equivalent professional qualification, with at least three years of hands-on experience in security operations in a well-structured organisation.
- GCE O/L with four years of hands-on experience in security operations within a well-structured business.
- Communication skills
- The ability to drive with a valid driver’s licence.
